This Act may be cited as the Town of North Topsail Beach Coastal Barrier Resources System Map Amendment Act of 2025.

(a) In general Not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall make such corrections to the map described in subsection (d) as are necessary to exclude from unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System each parcel in the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, that is designated by local zoning ordinance for purposes other than conservation as of the date of enactment of this Act. (b) Application of correction (1) In general The Secretary shall consider each parcel described in subsection (a) to meet the criteria described in subparagraph (B) of section 4(g)(1) of the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (16 U.S.C. 3503(g)(1)U.S. Code — Title 16, Section 3503(g)(1)View official source on GovInfo). (2) Clarification This Act applies only to areas of unit L06 that are within the municipality of the town of North Topsail Beach. (c) Definition of local zoning ordinance In this section, the term local zoning ordinance means zoning regulations in effect for the town of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, as of the date of enactment of this Act. (d) Map described The map referred to in subsection (a) is a map that— (1) is included in a set of maps as part of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System entitled John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System and dated November 25, 2024; and (2) relates to unit L06 of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System.
