This Act may be cited as the Battery and Regenerative Braking Act.

Section 22907 of title 49, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: (m) Additional eligible entities and projects In addition to the eligibility provided in subsections (b) and (c), an entity providing commuter rail passenger transportation, as defined in section 24102, shall be eligible under this section for projects to develop and implement regenerative braking and energy storage technologies..
