This Act may be cited as the Firearms Congressional Notification Modernization Act.

Section 36 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2776U.S. Code — Title 22, Section 2776View official source on GovInfo) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), by inserting (or, in the case of a defense article that is a firearm controlled under category I of the United States Munitions List, $4,000,000 or more) after $1,000,000 or more each place it appears; and (2) in subsection (c), by striking $1,000,000 and inserting $4,000,000.
