This Act may be cited as the Reliable Social Security Service for Seniors Act.

(a) In general Section 205 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 405U.S. Code — Title 42, Section 405View official source on GovInfo) is amended by adding at the end the following: (v) Telephone hours at Social Security Administration offices The Commissioner of Social Security shall ensure that each office of the Social Security Administration is fully staffed with employees to answer calls during standard business hours, including 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, excluding Federal holidays.. (b) Effective date The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on January 1, 2027.
