This Act may be cited as the Prompt Reporting and Oversight for Medicare Providing Transparency Act or the PROMPT Act.
SEC. 2. REQUIRING THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TO PROVIDE AN EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS NOT LATER THAN 30 DAYS AFTER AN ITEM OR SERVICE IS FURNISHED UNDER THE MEDICARE PROGRAMTrack this section →
Section 1806(a) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395b–7(a)) is amended by inserting, not later than 30 days after such payment is made (or would have been made), after deductible).
