This Act may be cited as the Sgt. Alfredo Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Veterans’ Hospital Act.

(a) Authority Subject to the availability of appropriations made in advance for such purpose, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs may construct a hospital under the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Rio Grande Valley sector, Texas. (b) Name of hospital The hospital authorized under subsection (a) shall, after the date of the enactment of this Act, be known and designated as the Sgt. Alfredo Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Veterans’ Hospital. Any reference to such hospital in any law, regulation, map, document, record, or other paper of the United States shall be considered to be a reference to the Sgt. Alfredo Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.
