That the House of Representatives— (1) recognizes the Carolina Hurricanes for their historic playoffs run, countless contributions to sports, and their many successes as a franchise; (2) congratulates the Carolina Hurricanes on an amazing season and for winning the 2026 Stanley Cup Championship; (3) recognizes the players, coaches, staff, leadership, and fans of the Carolina Hurricanes organization; (4) joins with all people in the United States and hockey fans all over the world in celebrating the return of the Stanley Cup to Raleigh, North Carolina; (5) respectfully directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an enrolled copy of this resolution to— (A) the owner and governor of the Carolina Hurricanes, Tom Dundon; (B) the general manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, Eric Tulsky; and (C) the head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, Rod Brind’Amour; and (6) recognizes Raleigh, North Carolina, as a hockey town and the State of North Carolina as a hockey State.
