What this bill does
In plain words · AI-written from the official summaryFunds school training on seizure awareness
This bill directs the Department of Education to give money to states, which then pass it along to local schools. Schools would use these funds to train their staff on how to recognize and respond to seizures in students who have epilepsy or seizure disorders, including creating personalized health and emergency care plans for those students.
How it affects you
If you're a parent or guardian of a child with epilepsy or a seizure disorder, this means your child's school staff would receive training to better understand and handle seizures. Teachers, nurses, and other school personnel in participating schools would learn how to keep your child safer during the school day.
