What this bill does
In plain words · AI-written from the official summarySalem Maritime site becomes national park
This bill changes Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Massachusetts from a historic site to a national historical park. It also asks the Department of the Interior to study whether other nearby places connected to the area's maritime history, coastal defenses, and military past should be added to the park.
How it affects you
This is mainly a change in how the site is officially designated and managed. If you visit Salem Maritime, the visitor experience may evolve based on what the boundary study recommends, but the bill itself is focused on the site's official status and future study rather than immediate changes to public access or services.
