What this bill does
In plain words · AI-written from the official summaryFunds centers to address nursing shortages
This bill sets up temporary grants that go to state agencies, nursing schools, and other organizations to create or expand nursing workforce centers. These centers would do research and planning to tackle nursing shortages and improve nursing education. The bill also gives the federal Health Resources and Services Administration the authority to establish health workforce research centers that focus specifically on nursing.
How it affects you
If you live in a state that receives these grants, your nursing schools and workforce programs may get funding to expand training and research. Nurses and people working in healthcare could eventually see benefits if the centers help address shortages in your area, though the bill doesn't specify immediate changes for individual patients or workers.
