This Act may be cited as the Promoting Classical Learning Act of 2025.
SEC. 2. REQUIREMENT FOR MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMIES TO ACCEPT THE CLASSICAL LEARNING TESTTrack this section →
The Secretary of Defense shall ensure that each of the Service Academies (as that term is defined in section 347(d) of title 10, United States Code) allows applicants to submit scores from the Classical Learning Test (CLT), SAT, or ACT as part of their application for admission.
SEC. 3. REQUIREMENT FOR FEDERALLY-RUN SECONDARY SCHOOLS TO ADMINISTER THE CLASSICAL LEARNING TESTTrack this section →
(a) DODEA schools The Director of the Department of Defense Education Activity shall require schools operated by the Activity to administer the CLT to students in the eleventh grade. (b) Tribally controlled schools and BIE-Operated schools The Director of the Bureau of Indian Education shall require schools funded or operated by the Bureau of Indian Education to administer the CLT to students in the eleventh grade.
