This Act may be cited as the Defense Community Infrastructure Program Tribal Eligibility Act of 2026.
SEC. 2. INCLUSION OF TRIBAL GOVERNMENTS IN THE DEFENSE COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAMTrack this section →
Section 2391 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (d)— (A) in paragraph (1)(A), by inserting Indian Tribes, after local governments,; and (B) in paragraph (2)(B), by striking or local government each place it appears and inserting government, local government, or Indian Tribe; and (2) in subsection (e)— (A) in paragraph (4)(A)(ii)(I), by striking or local government and inserting government, local government, or Indian Tribe; and (B) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: (7) The term Indian Tribe has the meaning given that term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304)..
