What this bill does
In plain words · AI-written from the official summaryExpands VA home care to include nurse registries
The bill adds nurse registries to the types of health care providers that the Veterans Community Care Program can use. A nurse registry is an organization that hires and arranges contracts for nurses, nursing assistants, home health aides, and similar workers who provide care in veterans' homes. This expands who the VA can work with to deliver home-based health services.
How it affects you
If you're a veteran using VA home care services, this change means the VA would have more options for finding and hiring workers to help you at home. The bill may make it easier to access certain types of home care, though the summary doesn't spell out exactly how veterans' experiences would change.
