Section 642(c) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1373(c)) is amended by inserting after by providing the requested verification or status information the following:, including by providing immigration status of an individual on a list of potential voters, when requested to do so by the Attorney General of a State or the Secretary of State of a State within 15 days of receiving such a request.
