Accrediting agency oversight

Section 496(c) (20 U.S.C. 1099b(c)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (8), by striking and after the semicolon; (2) in paragraph (9)(B), by striking the period at the end and inserting; and; and (3) by adding at the end the following: (10) (A) assesses the risk to students of any institution or program, including assessing the risk to students and institutions of any program managed by a third-party servicer, in accordance with factors provided by the Secretary; (B) effectively determines whether each such institution or program warrants additional oversight or action; and (C) provides adequate monitoring of the quality and risk of such institutions or programs..
