Section 1886(b)(3) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395ww(b)(3)) is amended— (1) in subparagraph (K)(i)— (A) in subclause (I), by inserting (or, with respect to discharges occurring on or after October 1, 2025, the 12-month cost reporting period beginning during fiscal year 2024) after fiscal year 2002; and (B) in subclause (II), by inserting (or, with respect to discharges occurring on or after October 1, 2025, the first cost reporting period beginning on or after such date) after October 1, 2006; and (2) in subparagraph (L)(ii)— (A) in subclause (I), by inserting (or, with respect to discharges occurring on or after October 1, 2025, the 12-month cost reporting period beginning during fiscal year 2024) after fiscal year 2006; and (B) in subclause (II), by inserting (or, with respect to discharges occurring on or after October 1, 2025, the first cost reporting period beginning on or after such date) after January 1, 2009.
