(a) Renaming The first section of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1531 note; Public Law 93–205) is amended by striking may be cited as the Endangered Species Act of 1973 and inserting may be cited as the Endangered Species Recovery Act. (b) References Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the Endangered Species Act of 1973 shall be deemed to be a reference to the Endangered Species Recovery Act.
