Section 520(b) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb–31(b)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (16), by striking and at the end; (2) in paragraph (17), by striking the period at the end and inserting; and; and (3) by adding at the end the following: (18) develop and implement a strategy to help local communities address the effects of new technologies, such as social media, on children’s mental health..
