Safety requirements for child care providers

Section 658E(c)(2)(I) of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 9858c(c)(2)(I)) is amended— (1) in clause (i)(XI), by striking; and and inserting a semicolon; (2) by redesignating clause (ii) as clause (iii); and (3) by inserting after clause (i) the following: (ii) shall include— (I) a prohibition on constructing, maintaining, or otherwise operating a pool on the premises of any facility where such services are provided; and (II) a requirement to install door and window alarms in any facility where such services are provided; and.
