The Secretary is authorized to realign the Regional Technology Officer Program of the Department to ensure that the Program— (1) is optimally structured to support the information technology and cybersecurity needs of United States diplomatic missions; (2) has clear roles and responsibilities for Regional Technology Officers; (3) promotes effective coordination between Regional Technology Officers and other relevant Department entities; and (4) is adequately resourced to fulfill its mission.
