(a) In general Section 102 of the CHIPS Act of 2022 (Public Law 117–167) is amended— (1) in subsection (c)(1)— (A) by striking Secretary of State each place it appears and inserting Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs; and (B) by adding at the end the following: (A) Management of the fund Within the Department of State, the Fund shall be overseen and administered by the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs.; and (2) in subsection (c)(2)(B), by striking Secretary of State each place it appears and inserting Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs.
