Application of regulations to existing pipelines

(a) In general Section 60104(b) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the subsection heading, by striking Nonapplication and inserting Application; (2) by striking does not apply and inserting shall be applied; and (3) by adding at the end the following: The authority of the Secretary to apply any standard promulgated pursuant to this chapter (including any standard promulgated prior to the date of enactment of the Pipeline Accountability Act of 2025) shall not be limited by virtue of a pipeline preexisting the issuance of that standard.. (b) Conforming amendment Section 60109(c) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking paragraph (11); and (2) by redesignating paragraph (12) as paragraph (11).
