Mental health and substance use disorder services for students in higher education

Section 520E–2 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb–36b) is amended— (1) in subsections (a) through (f)— (A) by striking an institution of higher education each place it appears and inserting a covered institution; (B) by striking the institution of higher education each place it appears and inserting the covered institution; and (C) by striking institutions of higher education each place it appears and inserting covered institutions; (2) in subsection (c)— (A) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking Any institution of higher education and inserting Any covered institution; and (B) in paragraph (5), by striking institution of higher education supported and inserting covered institution–supported; and (3) by amending subsection (g) to read as follows: (g) Covered institution defined In this section, the term covered institution means— (1) an area career and technical education school (as defined in section 3 of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006); and (2) an institution of higher education (as defined in section 101 of the Higher Education Act of 1965)..
