Illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing

Section 3553 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (16 U.S.C. 8033) is amended— (1) in paragraph (8), by striking and at the end; (2) by redesignating paragraph (9) as paragraph (10); and (3) by inserting after paragraph (8) the following: (9) an assessment of gaps or limitations in the ability of the United States to effectively assist priority regions and priority flag states relating to IUU fishing due to resource constraints and the additional resources necessary to overcome those constraints; and.
