Effective date

(a) In general Except as provided in subsection (b), this Act shall take effect on the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act. (b) Compliance deadlines Notwithstanding subsection (a)— (1) a provider of a social media platform shall have 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act to comply with the provisions of section 4; and (2) a provider of a social media platform shall have 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act to comply with the provisions of section 5.
