Report on the F–47 advanced fighter aircraft program

(a) In general Not later than March 1, 2027, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the F–47 advanced fighter aircraft program. (b) Elements The report required under subsection (a) shall include following: (1) A description of the F–47 aircraft program, including system requirements, employment concepts, and projected costs, schedule, and funding requirements over the period covered by the program objective memorandum process for fiscal years 2028 through 2034. (2) The acquisition strategy for the F–47 program of record, including consideration of implementing a middle tier acquisition pathway or major capability acquisition pathway (as such terms are defined in Department of Defense Instruction 5000.85, titled Major Capability Acquisition and issued on August 6, 2020 (or a successor instruction)). (3) A proposed fielding strategy for the F–47 aircraft, including— (A) estimated force structure requirements; (B) strategic basing considerations; (C) an estimate of military construction requirements; (D) an estimate of personnel training requirements; and (E) a strategy for integrating units of the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve into F–47 fighter aircraft operations, including planned force structure, association, training, and mobilization models. (c) Form The report required under subsection (a) shall be submitted in unclassified form but may contain a classified annex.
