Section 641(e)(4)(A) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1372(e)(4)(A)) is amended— (1) in the first sentence, by striking Attorney General and inserting Secretary of Homeland Security; (2) in the third sentence, by striking Attorney General’s and inserting Secretary of Homeland Security’s; and (3) by striking the second sentence.
