Prohibition on use of Federal funds for implementation of mileage taxes

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal funds may be obligated or expended, directly or indirectly, to study, propose, establish, implement, or enforce any State, local, or Federal mileage tax, including through the funding of a mileage tracking program.
