Bicycle transit integration grant program

(a) In general The Secretary of Transportation shall establish a program to provide grants, on a competitive basis, for bicycle transit integration projects. (b) Eligible entities The Secretary may provide a grant under this section only to— (1) a metropolitan planning organization; (2) a transit agency; (3) a State; (4) a unit of local government; or (5) an Indian Tribe. (c) Bicycle transit integration project defined In this section, the term bicycle transit integration project means a project to— (1) develop bicycle parking at transit stations; (2) expand bicycle sharing programs; and (3) any other similar project, as determined by the Secretary.
