Section 251(b)(2)(A) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (2 U.S.C. 901(b)(2)(A)) is amended— (1) in clause (i), by striking and the President subsequently so designates; and (2) in clause (ii), by striking and the President subsequently so designates.
