(a) Definition In this section, the term employee has the meaning given the term in section 7322 of title 5, United States Code. (b) Continuation of investigation Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Office of Special Counsel may continue an investigation of a violation of section 7323 or 7324 of title 5, United States Code, of an individual who is a former employee only if that investigation commenced while the individual was an employee.
