Public hearings on proposed rules

Section 60104 of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) by striking The Secretary of Transportation and inserting the following: (1) In general The Secretary; and (B) by adding at the end the following: (2) Public hearings In proposing rules under this chapter, including revisions to those rules, the Secretary shall hold at least 1 public hearing to address each proposed rule or revision.; and (2) in each of subsections (d)(1) and (e), by striking Secretary of Transportation each place it appears and inserting Secretary.
