Sense of Congress

It is the sense of Congress that— (1) the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces made significant contributions to the elimination of the ISIS caliphate; (2) the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, with assistance from the United States-led coalition, have detained thousands of ISIS fighters and their families, ensuring the safety of the United States and the region; (3) the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces continue to be a reliable and critical partner in preventing the resurgence of ISIS; and (4) any behavior by the Government of Syria or regional actors that undermines the role of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in countering ISIS and protecting United States security interests is inconsistent with the national security objectives of the United States.
