Expansion of authority to hire critical technical experts

(a) In general Subsection (b) of section 6 of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Act (15 U.S.C. 275) is amended, in the second sentence, by striking 15 and inserting 30. (b) Modification of sunset Subsection (c) of such section is amended by striking under section (b) shall expire on the date that is 5 years after the date of the enactment of this section and inserting under subsection (b) shall expire on December 30, 2035.
