Section 139(b)(4)(A) of the National and Community Service Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12593(b)(4)(A)) is amended— (1) by striking An individual and inserting the following: (i) Disaster relief An individual; (2) by striking or section 153(d); and (3) by adding at the end the following: (ii) Other programs An individual in an approved national service position in a program under section 152(a) may, upon the approval of the Director of the National Civilian Community Corps, continue in a term of service for up to 180 days beyond the period otherwise specified in section 153(d) or 90 days beyond the period otherwise specified in section 154(c)..
