Definitions

In this Act: (1) Appropriate committees of Congress The term appropriate committees of Congress means— (A) the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate; and (B) the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives. (2) Exchange Stabilization Fund The term Exchange Stabilization Fund means the stabilization fund established under section 5302(a) of title 31, United States Code. (3) Foreign entity The term foreign entity means an entity that is not organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States. (4) Government of a foreign country The term government of a foreign country — (A) means— (i) any subdivision, agency, or instrumentality of that government; and (ii) any entity owned or controlled by that government; and (B) includes a central bank of the foreign country.
