Data collection program

The Secretary may reserve not more than 5 percent of the amounts made available to carry out this Act to conduct, directly or through grants to public or nonprofit private entities or contracts with public or private entities or individuals, projects for research and data collection to— (1) understand the scope of the need for safe, healthy, and enriching summer programs for youth; and (2) track the progress of the Summer for All grant programs.
