Funding

(a) Use of existing funds Subject to subsection (b), the Secretary may use amounts otherwise appropriated to the Department of State, including the Bureau of Administration, to carry out this Act. (b) Limitation (1) In general The amount of Federal funds expended for the design and construction of the memorial may not exceed $500,000. (2) Exception The expenditure of donated funds shall not be subject to the limitation under paragraph (1). (c) Acceptance of donations The Secretary may, in accordance with applicable law, solicit, accept, and use private donations for the establishment, maintenance, preservation, and improvement of the memorial. (d) No additional authorization of appropriations No additional funds are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this Act.
