(a) In general The third sentence of section 1905(b) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d(b)) is amended by striking for the 8 fiscal year quarters beginning with the first fiscal year quarter beginning after the date of the enactment of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, and inserting and. (b) Effective date The amendment made by this section shall apply to medical assistance provided on or after the date of enactment of this Act.
