Section 203 of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (25 U.S.C. 4133), as amended by this Act, is amended by adding at the end the following: (i) Total development cost maximum cost Affordable housing that is developed, acquired, or assisted under the block grant program established under section 101 shall not exceed by more than 20 percent, without prior approval of the Secretary, the total development cost maximum cost for all housing assisted under an affordable housing activity, including development and model activities..
