Animal disease prevention and management

Section 10409A of the Animal Health Protection Act (7 U.S.C. 8308a) is amended— (1) in subsection (b)(2)— (A) in subparagraph (F)— (i) by striking including training and inserting the following: including— (i) training; (ii) in clause (i) (as so designated), by striking the period at the end and inserting; and; and (iii) by adding at the end the following: (ii) improving animal disease traceability.; and (B) in subparagraph (I), by inserting, including activities approved by the Secretary as of the date of enactment of the Agricultural Act of 2026 before the period at the end; (2) in subsection (d)— (A) in paragraph (2)— (i) in subparagraph (A)— (I) by striking $30,000,000 and inserting $45,000,000; and (II) by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2027 through 2031; and (ii) in subparagraph (B), by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2027 through 2031; and (B) in paragraph (3)(B)— (i) by inserting the National Animal Health Laboratory Network under subsection (a) and after carry out; (ii) by striking 10 and inserting 15; (iii) by striking paragraph (7)(B) of such subsection and inserting subsection (b)(7)(B); and (iv) by striking the Program and inserting the National Animal Health Laboratory Network or the National Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Program; and (3) in subsection (e)(1), by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2027 through 2031.
