What this bill does
In plain words · AI-written from the official summaryVA sends doctors to serve veterans in territories
The VA would be able to send physicians to work temporarily at VA facilities in U.S. territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These traveling doctors would serve for up to one year at a time, work with other local doctors when needed, and receive bonuses to help recruit and keep them in these positions.
How it affects you
If you're a veteran living in a U.S. territory, this could mean better access to VA doctors without having to travel far. The traveling physicians would work alongside local providers to make sure you get coordinated, high-quality care.
