These include the Capitol Police, the Congressional Budget Office, the Library of Congress, and other offices that help Congress operate. The bill also sets rules for how these funds can be used.

How it affects you

This bill doesn't have a direct effect on most people's daily lives. It's mainly about funding the internal operations of Congress and the agencies that support it, so members of Congress and federal employees who work in legislative support roles are the ones most directly affected by how much money is available for their work.
