(a) Requirement Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army shall provide a briefing to the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate regarding validated insect repellent available to the Army on the date of the enactment of this Act. (b) Elements The briefing under paragraph (1) shall include the following: (1) Ongoing evaluations to validate fabric treatments to improve insect repellency for combat uniforms. (2) An analysis of fabric treatment and garment treatment performance results. (3) Established research and development programs to improve uniform insect repellency.
