The Secretary of Defense shall conduct an assessment of applications of noninvasive focused ultrasound technologies, including histotripsy, within the military health system, including an examination of— (1) opportunities to use such technologies to improve outcomes and reduce recovery times; and (2) the effect of the use of such technologies on military readiness.
