Section 2152 of title 14, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking Any regular and inserting— (a) In general Any regular; and (2) by adding at the end the following: (b) Service credit For purposes of subsection (a), active commissioned service in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or the Public Health Service shall be credited as active commissioned service in the armed forces for purposes of determining the retirement eligibility and computing the retired pay of a member of the armed forces..
