Report on proliferation of Chinese medical device technology in the United States

(a) Report required Not later than March 1, 2025, the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the proliferation of Chinese medical device technology in the Department of Defense. (b) Elements The report under subsection (a) shall including the following: (1) An assessment of the extent to which Chinese medical technology has been and is being used in Department of Defense medical facilities, and, to the extent practicable, an assessment of use by non-Department medical facilities that provide medical care to members of the Armed Forces and their families. (2) An analysis of the national security vulnerabilities associated with using Chinese medical device technology in Department of Defense medical facilities and in non-Department medical facilities that provide medical care to members of the Armed Forces and their families. (3) Any other matters the Secretary determines relevant.
