Section 5348 of title 5, United States Code is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) by striking subsection (b) of this section and inserting subsection (c); and (B) by inserting before the period at the end the following:, not to exceed the rate of pay for the Vice President under section 104 of title 3; (2) by redesignating subsection (b) as subsection (c); and (3) by inserting after subsection (a) the following new subsection (b): (b) The aggregate pay limitation prescribed under section 5307 shall not apply to an employee whose pay is fixed under subsection (a)..
