Section 439(b) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (2), by striking has been certified and inserting was initially certified; (2) by redesignating paragraphs (3) and (4) as paragraphs (4) and (5), respectively; and (3) by inserting after paragraph (2) the following new paragraph (3): (3) has been recertified (if required), by a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, as in need of such assistance;.
