Notification of cost overruns for certain Department of Energy projects

Section 4713 of the Atomic Energy Defense Act (50 U.S.C. 2753) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) in paragraph (1)(A), in the first sentence, by inserting prior to entry into Phase 6.3 or Phase 3, as appropriate after Administration; and (B) in paragraph (2)(A), by inserting prior to entry into Phase 6.3 after project; and (2) in subsection (c)(2)— (A) by redesignating subparagraphs (B) and (C) as subparagraphs (C) and (D), respectively; and (B) by inserting after subparagraph (A) the following new subparagraph (B): (B) the results of the review conducted by the Director of Cost Estimating and Program Evaluation are consistent with section 3221(d)(1)(F) of the National Nuclear Security Administration Act (50 U.S.C. 2411(d)(1)(F))..
